The London City Orchestra returns to the stage for an electrifying evening of colour, rhythm and storytelling under the baton of Thomas Payne, joined by acclaimed pianist Rustam Khanmurzin. The programme journeys from the sun-drenched vitality of Elgar’s In the South to the darkly playful energy of Anna Clyne’s Masquerade, before showcasing Ravel’s jazz-infused brilliance in his sparkling Piano Concerto in G. The concert concludes with Gershwin’s exuberant An American in Paris, a symphonic postcard bursting with swagger, wit and the irresistible pulse of a city in motion.
