The London City Orchestra aspires to become one of the leading non-professional orchestras in London. It receives no public funding and is a not-for-profit organisation run by a dedicated committee and a board of trustees. LCO is very committed to support music making throughout our city, and to make an impact in our community. Among other initiatives, we have a mentorship programme (Professional Development Programme or PDP) for young musical students wishing to obtain more experience in an orchestra. We also aim to sponsor at least 3 or 4 of our members per term, players who might otherwise not be able to afford to play in an orchestra.
Your support allows us to fulfil our mission of nurturing rising talent in both the professional and amateur music worlds, as well as to perform quality music to an eager audience while positively impacting our community through outreach and benefit projects. We are currently running our “5th Anniversary Campaign” through which we aim to increase our membership and public profile, ensuring a sustainable future for our orchestra.
Become a friend
We offer LCO Friends a wide range of benefits such as open rehearsal invitations, complimentary tickets to each concert, pre-concert talks, exclusive one-on-one time with our musicians, soloists and conductors or special musical sessions led by our Music Director.
Support a project
Help us to do something special by supporting an LCO project. With your support we can continue to organise exciting and innovative projects that have a big impact in our community, music students, music lovers and our audience.
Build a Corporate Partnership
Every partnership is bespoke, flexible and focused on the needs and results you might want to achieve from our collaboration. Whether providing musicians for your functions or supporting your charitable endeavors within the community, we want to build meaningful relationships with business and companies in London to spread classical music far beyond our regular season concerts.
